Welcome to August’s blog, which shares the most recent developments and updates into Lever Turner and Cowdell.

Monthly Update:
August has been a quieter month due to the summer holidays but works have been progressing in the background for a number of projects leading up to planning submissions.

Project Spotlight: Feasibility Scheme at Westcott Airfield
This month, we are excited to highlight our involvement in a unique and highly innovative project located at Westcott Airfield. While the details of the scheme remain confidential at this stage, we are pleased to share that a planning application has now been submitted following an intensive feasibility study led by our team.
The scheme is designed for a specialist research facility, requiring careful consideration of security, functionality, and adaptability for future growth. Our role involved exploring a range of design options that balance operational requirements with sustainability and long-term flexibility, ensuring the site can evolve in line with emerging technologies and research needs.

Events and Collaborations
As part of our ongoing commitment to collaboration and knowledge-sharing, we have welcomed Toby for a few weeks of work experience who is a first year undergraduate studying architecture in Liverpool.
Toby had the benefit of contributing fresh ideas to live projects, supported design development, and gained valuable exposure to the day-to-day operations of our architectural practice.

Highlights included:
— Assisting with digital modelling for Canal Street for an upcoming large planning submission.
— Participating in site visits to understand measured survey processes in real-time.
— Exploring sustainable design techniques and materials research.

We’re proud to support the next generation of architects and look forward to seeing where their career paths take them.
