Welcome to Lever Turner Cowdell’s monthly blog update for October 2026. As we enter the colder months of the year, we are staying wrapped up in our office, heating on and watching the trees outside our windows turn all shades of oranges, yellows and browns. For many of our staff, it is our favourite time of year. It is also the period in which planning applications get well underway, with clients wanting developments to start when the weather imrpoves next year, we have a big push to get drawing pckages and applications submitted to keep jobs on program.

Monthly Update

This last month we have been working dilligently on a number of projects, preparing various schemes for different stages. We have undertaken feasibility studies on a small housing development, a planning application for an industrial new build, a building regulation package for an apartment scheme, and monitoring on-site works at an industrial refurbishment project.

Project Spotlight

Our spotlight for the month is a new development we are working on in Leicestershire. Our client has a plot of land on a disused airfield, on which they had previous planning permission to build a new industrial building. They now wish to continue the work and develop the land, with some minor tweaks to increase the floor area and provide additional office accomodation. The building has been redesigned by our team to reflect the clients updated brief, adding some vibrant cladding colours and keeping the curved roof to reflect the history of the site.
