The extension references the massing, size and proportions of the existing building it adjoins, keeping in with the existing characteristic of the surroundings. The proposed extension was traditionally constructed, and maintained the traditional aesthetic of the adjoining building, with a combination of multi-red facing brickwork and contrasting colour detailing around the window openings.
